Asus UX30 - Laptop Review


Asus is proud to present its elegant line of ultrathin laptops that have great features and functions. Therefore, he came up with the Asus UX30, one of the latest models presented by Asus. The UX30 is also known as the mother of mini netbooks due to the EEE PC series innovation.


There are two models in the UX series laptops: the UX50V and the UX30. The latter is smaller with a thickness of just 0.9 inches, making it easily one of the thinnest laptops on the market. It is practical for traveling and is very useful for the businessman, the normal user of the computer and the writer. And the UX30 is also very light, proportional to its size. One can carry it and is not expected to carry a laptop.


The Asus UX30 uses Intel's Ultra Low Voltage (CULV) processors. This is perhaps the reason behind how the UX30 is nearly slim and loaded with more than acceptable features. CULV processors are designed to consume as little energy as possible, thus emitting less heat. As CULV processors require little power, the slim design of the Asus UX30 was made possible. Older processors need space to allow heat and air to circulate without damaging internal components.


As for performance, the Asus UX30 has either the Intel® Core (TM) 2 Duo SU9400 processor or the Core (TM) Solo SU3500 processor. Both processors operate at 1.4 GHz. Either of these processors supports up to 4 gigabytes of Random Access Memory (RAM). The latest Asus offering display has an acceptable resolution of 1366x768 built into a 13-inch liquid crystal display, which can facilitate faster and better multitasking. With high resolution, a user can simply open a document window while placing it next to a window in another document for reference. A user also has the option of integrating a media player window.
