What Is A Buyer?

The Buyer's journey is essentially everything that has been done before and doing it all again. During the buyer's journey, prospective buyers are just experiencing the symptoms of an issue and attempting to label it as such. If you have already experienced problems in the past that could be related to this very product, it will only strengthen your resolve to successfully navigate through this period.

As the Buyer's journey progresses, buyers become increasingly frustrated with the difficulty of obtaining the item they desire. The more problematic the issue becomes, the more buyers will dig in their heels and refuse to consider purchasing anything other than the solution provided in this solution. At this point, it is likely that the issue will have been effectively solved.

At this point, the Buyer has resolved the most problematic issues. However, the Buyer still must determine how to proceed. If the Purchase is not a sure thing, it is important to realize that it is not a requirement to purchase the item at this point. While the journey has come to an end, it is important to consider that the Buyer has not yet determined how to get to this point. If no solution has been found, it is important to allow the item to remain in the "brance" phase. At this stage, it is still important to engage in a number of methodical actions to ensure that the possibility of obtaining the desired outcome remains a certainty.

The next phase of the buyer's journey is the awareness stage. The Buyer is aware of the fact that there are potentially solutions available to address the problems created by the current situation. In many cases, these potential solutions will not be immediately apparent. This is because the issues faced by the buyer are not unique to his or her situation. In addition, the potential solutions addressed in the awareness stage were the result of a process that comprehensively addressed the Buyer's concerns and needs.

At this time, the Buyer is capable of understanding that he/she possesses unique needs. These unique needs can be viewed from within the Buyer's persona. It is at this moment, that the Buyer has resolved to identify a solution to his/her problem. For any solution to be effective, it must address the needs identified in the consciousness stage of the Buyer's journey. In many instances, when the Buyer identifies a solution that effectively addresses his/her needs, they have gone from being frustrated to being fully satisfied with the solution.

As discussed previously, the inbound buyer has taken the first step in the solution process. As a result of this first step, many potential buyers have fallen into the hands of the Buyer. As a result of the success achieved in the inbound buyer's journey, many inbound buyers have gone on to purchase the Solution or otherwise known as the final product. However, as discussed earlier, this is only the case if the buyer utilized the knowledge gained in the awareness stage to obtain additional information.

Once the Buyer has reached the consciousness stage, they may choose to further examine the product or service to determine if it is truly the solution to their problem. If the solution does not satisfy the Buyer, they will go on to the next stage in the Buyer's journey. This next stage is defined by the knowledge base acquired in the awareness stage. If the Buyer is unable to determine whether they are making the right decision, they will again move onto the next stage in the Buyer's journey. If the Buyer again is unable to determine whether they are making the right decision, they will again move onto the awareness stage and again seek to obtain additional information.

Finally, once the Buyer reaches the final stage in their journey, the Buyer will make the decision and purchase the solution or product. During this final stage there are still opportunities for the Buyer to further research and learn additional information. These opportunities are often referred to as the Problem Solving stage in the Buyer journey. The Buyer will need to use these opportunities to further refine their decision. In conclusion, with each step in the Buyer journey, there are opportunities for the Buyer to obtain additional information that will ultimately affect their purchasing decision.
