Integrated Health Information Systems (IHIS) Company in Singapore

Integrated Health Information Systems (IHIS) is the term used to describe a company that is geared towards the healthcare industry. It provides medical practitioners with tools to manage their patients' health records. A good example of an IHIS company in Singapore is ZEDOC, which is a healthcare platform that allows users to track and manage patient care data.

Integrated Health Information Systems (IHIS)

IHiS is the national healthtech agency of Singapore's public healthcare sector. The organisation integrates intelligent technologies to improve the health ecosystem and deliver telehealth services. Its vision is to digitise the healthcare industry and improve population health. Currently, its work includes an in-house system called Health Discovery Plus.

IHiS also has plans to expand its use of AI and analytics. For example, it has created an interactive dashboard for hospitals to track critical medical supplies. And it has developed a number of tools to fight the Zika virus. But what does AI mean in healthcare?

In 2010, Singapore embarked on a journey toward a new generation of data-driven machine learning systems. It started with a six-month trial of FRAVMS.

IHiS has since then expanded its portfolio of analytics and AI solutions. Recently, it has worked with Tan Tock Seng Hospital to set up an Operations Command Centre. This has enabled the hospital to focus on complex patient care problems.

AI-assisted discharge of COVID-19 patients

During the recent Covid-19 outbreak, the Integrated Health Information Systems (IHiS) and Changi General Hospital (CGH) saw the potential in deploying artificial intelligence to improve the way healthcare services are delivered. The two institutions formed a multidisciplinary team to design and build an end-to-end solution.

IHiS has been working with all stakeholders in the public healthcare system to develop a comprehensive suite of AI-driven solutions. These solutions include an in-house system called Health Discovery Plus, which runs on the Microsoft Azure platform. It helps improve the way patients engage with the healthcare system by providing them with their own health and wellness data.

IHiS has also developed a number of tools to combat the Zika virus. These include an AI temperature scanning device, an interactive dashboard that tracks critical medical supplies in hospitals, and a risk scoring engine incorporated into the existing travel declaration form.

ZEDOC platform

One of Singapore's many healthtech company in Singapore is Integrated Health Information Systems (IHiS). This organization is a public-private partnership with a hefty budget, which powers IT systems at over 50 of the nation's hospitals and clinics. Its remit is to support the Ministry of Health's (MOH) mission to improve patient outcomes while reducing hospital visits. The organization is also the driving force behind Singapore's telehealth service, which aims to minimize hospital visits by providing healthcare services to patients in their homes and workplaces.

The organisation aspires to be the "innovation hub of Singapore." As such, it is tasked with identifying new technologies and innovations that will enhance the country's health care capabilities. For instance, it has partnered with a digital health company to create a platform that will help healthcare providers manage patient generated health data outside of the hospital. With such technology, patients will be better positioned to participate in treatment decisions.

TechSkills Accelerator (TeSA) initiative

TechSkills Accelerator (TeSA) is a training programme that provides structured and accelerated professional development for tech jobs. It is a joint initiative between SkillsFuture Singapore, Workforce Singapore, and the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) to build a skilled ICT workforce.

TeSA is expected to train 21,000 ICT professionals in Singapore by the end of 2020. Applicants will be offered job placement opportunities, salary commensurate with experience, and in-depth industry exposure. Applicants will also participate in projects guided by mentors. The programme is open to all types of professionals.

In addition to the TechSkills Accelerator, TeSA has two company-led training programmes. These programmes are designed to develop skills in emerging clusters of the ICT industry. MSD is one of the companies participating in the programme.

Population health

The healthtech agency Integrated Health Information Systems (IHiS) is working with public healthcare institutions and organisations to deploy new systems that will improve population health in Singapore. These systems will provide a foundation for better health care delivery.

This platform will enable clinicians to identify patterns of care, which will help optimise the way that healthcare is delivered. It also supports a multidisciplinary care approach. It also has features that integrate internationally accepted healthcare terminology, making it easy to review patient records.

The system will also allow SingHealth clinicians to manage patient records and to focus on value-based care. In addition to the new system, SingHealth will gain dedicated access to the Altera Digital Health technical consulting team. This team will advise SingHealth on future efficiencies.
